she had never been a fan of truffuat. an American in paris had turned her off from french new wave with his long-winded lectures and half assed attempts at seduction. but she longed for the paris in her dreams, and loved the idea of it. of sitting in a dark theatre, listening to french with him. letting the language seduce them both in the darkness.
