13 years and counting…

Backing up files on an old hard drive today, I discovered evidence of my internet past. It’s easy to forget that I’ve had a blog before they were called blogs. Way back when I was just a girl who would hang out in the library after school, waiting to take the public bus home, and mess with geocities.

From my geocites site, which was called Delusions of a Hollywood Star, I bounced between a couple of domain names  — 10tilmidnight.org, orange-glitter.com, soggy-cereal.com — and a ton of fan sites. But none even came close to My So-Called Slayer Life/mscsl.org. To say it was a MASSIVE fan site I created devoted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer might be an understatement. I actually won a real award — a Dottie — in which I had to wear a nice dress, and walk up on stage at the awards ceremony and give an acceptance speech.

It’s amazing how I’ve forgotten my comic-con level of geekery for BTVS.

It’s also amazing how I’ve forgotten 13 years of online journaling.
